Designed for use with our Columbia line of hoists, the Hammerhead Trolley available in capacities of one, three, and five tons, is ideal for a wide range of material handling applications. Since the hoist is stationary, the need for complicated and expensive electrical festooning systems is eliminated.

When used with a base mounted hoist, the wire rope arrangement through the trolley doubles the capacity of the hoist. Not only does this allow for more efficient movement of materials, but the low weight of the trolley increases the net load that can be lifted on any given size of beam.

The low-profile design of the trolley achieves an increase in hook height allowing for greater accessibility in tight spaces. Another component of note is the low friction bearings used throughout to ensure efficient operation and movement.

A variety of chain and power drive options are available for each of capacity of trolley. Custom trolleys with higher capacities can be provided by APPI.

• When the trolley is moved, the hook remains at the same height.
• Line speed at the hook is half the line speed at the hoist.
• Line pull at the hook is twice the line pull at the hoist.
• Can be used on both overhead I-beams and jib cranes.
• For extremely long spans, the carriage can be modified to run on a suspension wire.
